A big thank you to our hosts, the cottage was lovely, well equipped, comfortable and very clean. The area was beautiful with amazing scenery. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Gegend ist sehr vielseitig mit Bergen, Seen, schönen Städtchen. Das Haus ist gut gelegen und der See ca in 10 min zu erreichen. Einziger Nachteil ist, dass der Garten nicht blickgeschützt ist. As a couple we had an enjoyable stay. We would like to come back to the area. The location of the house is good if you are looking for a quiet hamlet stay. If town shops are what you want this may disappoint you. The whole area around Lac du Bouget is stunning. iIf you want access to quieter beaches than Aix les Bains, then Conjux just 15 minutes away is good with safe, clear and supervised swimming for kids (and adults). The house was immaculate and well presented. Jim and Rose were very helpful and willing to provide practical information. Excellent and spectacular sites (and sights) such as the Dent du Chat and Mont Revard not to far away. Good walking area too. Three lakes within the area. Lac du Bouget (the best,,) Annecy (way to busy and crowded) and Lac du lit du Rio near Belley.… Source: HomeAway

The property over all was superb and the surrounding area was beautiful. The owners were very helpful and could not have done more to make our stay more relaxing. A few things to note and do not let these put you off in any way they are just observations, when reading the Home and away website ad, it looks like the property has a microwave and an oven because of the columns. It is a microwave oven, This may limit some cooking options and was something I did not spot. Also the ad says towels provided, we did get an email before travel to say they would not be provided, but it was a consideration when booking, as space is a big issue when there are 5 in a car. Also a big consideration was internet with 3 teenageers, there is internet but it is very very slow. We would definitely return and would recommend it to friends and family.… Source: HomeAway

Bâtisse ancienne rénovée avec goût et qui offre 3 chambres avec les commodités nécessaires pour passer un bon séjour. Gisèle et Jim nous ont accueilli chaleureusement et nous ont indiqué des sites sympathiques à visiter. Abbaye de Hautecombe, Chanaz et son marché des poitiers en juillet ainsi que la plage de conjux, familiale et peu connue … La région offre beaucoup de possibilités avec la frontière suisse et Turin à 250 km. Bref, nous avons découvert et apprécié une région et recommandons ce logement, qui peut cependant être amélioré au niveau literie mais les hôtes sont tellement sympathiques!!!… Source: HomeAway

Es war eine traumhafte Woche, das Häuschen liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles sauber und sehr ordentlich. Jim und seine Frau waren sehr nett und haben allerlei Tipps und Infomaterial für Ihre Gäste. Cette petite maison est un lieu propice au repos, située dans un hameau calme et sain, loin du bruit et de la route. D’une propreté impeccable, les 3 chambres sont bien réparties pour isoler jeunes et moins jeunes. Les sentiers de randonnées partent du hameau avec plusieurs ballades dans la forêt. The house is located in a fantastic area. It is extremely clean and even more comfortable than in the pictures. I would like to mention that the house is very warm even in the cold season. We spent our Christmas at this property and it was one of our best Christmas break we had. This house have a lovely character and located in a quiet location surrounded by the forest and mountains. Property is close to a Chambery city where is lots to do(places to visit and nice charming restaurants to eat) and it’s only 30 min drive to a ski resort, which is nice for a families with a small children. Over all I would like to say big Thank you for Jim and his wife for helping us through our stay, even know that it was a Christmas. Les propriétaires nous ont très bien accueillis et se sont montrés attentifs à répondre au mieux à nos différentes demandes. La maison, propre et très ancienne, située dans un petit hameau d’une dizaine de maisons, a été rénovée avec goût, sans chichis et en conservant toute son authenticité (avec également son poêle à bois, lequel était mis à disposition à volonté). La maison n’est pas très grande mais fonctionnelle. Quelques points faibles, mais qui ne nous ont pas vraiment dérangés: la cuisinière est fort petite, le four également (petit combiné micro-ondes et four traditionnel), le nombre de couverts est très limité et les WC se trouvent dans la salle de bains. Cela demande donc un peu de discipline et d’organisation pour accueillir 5 personnes. Nous voulons aussi souligner combien les alentours du Lac du Bourget sont beaux. C’est un gîte que nous recommanderons volontiers à nos amis… Source: HomeAway

Thanks to our hosts, we had a very good stay, very pretty cottage beautifully restored. Amazing scenery with plenty to see and do, and we did have almost endless sunshine! On the way to Chanaz one morning we saw a family of deer magical. Personal favorites Chanaz ,Annecy and walking round the lake in Bourget…Source: HomeAway
